Why I am a Libertarian: I have grown tired of having to choose between economic liberty given lip service by Republicans or civil liberty championed by the Democrats. In reality, neither party focuses their efforts to protect either. I believe in both and the Libertarian Party is the best alternative to the two-party system that has failed our country, state and county.
Biggest issue: Economic growth is our biggest need because it drives so many other issues. To continue our growth we have to make Mecklenburg county a place where businesses WANT to move and expand, not a place where we have to RECRUIT them to move.
Why I am the best choice: It is time the voters of Mecklenburg county were given a viable third choice instead of having to hold their nose when they cast their vote. Government functions best when it focuses on essential functions of government such as law enforcement and education. If elected, I will ensure these priorities are not starved for resources because Meck County has thrown money at pet projects that so often become boondoggles.
